Re: Laser printer Brother HL-L2300D

lpinfo -m says
lsb/usr/cupsfilters/brother-HLL2300D-cups-en.ppd Brother HL-L2300D for CUPS
so the driver is installed, but why cups (localhost:631) cant see my printer pluged in usb.
lsusb says:
Bus 001 Device 007: ID 04f9:0061 Brother Industries, Ltd

Consider editing your first post with any new information instead of creating multiple new posts smile

Have you seen https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/CU … _with_SANE?

Re: Laser printer Brother HL-L2300D

If you have the SANE package installed it could cause the issue, regardless of whether you are actually running the SANE daemon.

What is the output of

$ ls -l /dev/bus/usb/*/*

? There should be a device with the lp group listed - if not, the Udev rule mentioned in the article linked before should be enough to fix that. CUPS helpers are run with a group lp by default which lets them access USB printers, but if the printer does not have the correct permissions it may not be visible.
