When rebooting, when it starts shutting down is '^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^'
Sometimes it's a lot of them, sometimes it isn't.
Should I be worried?
I'm running Arch with Gnome. Sorry, but I can't search symbols so it's a bit hard for me to figure out myself what's going on..

That looks like keyboard input. Is the machine a laptop or desktop? If desktop try to unplug the keyboard before rebooting and see if you still get the same problem.

That's what I thought the first few times as well, but it's on my laptop and even without any devices connected, it shows up when rebooting.

You could try switching to a tty and check if you see the same thing. It might indicate a possible hardware problem or maybe it's some acpi event/key that does not interfere with gui programs or DE but it will register on a tty and show garbage.

I've noticed this happening on occasion as well. If I switch to another TTY it spams there as well. I haven't been able to figure out what it is yet, but next time I notice it happening, I'm going to unplug my keyboard and see what happens.

Just a hunch: Count them. Close the lid. Open the lid. Count them again.
Hint: A ruler is faster than counting ;-)

I have the same "issue" on my laptop (HP Spectre x360 booting EFI).
I never found any way of getting rid of it. It doesn't seem to do anything harmful, except for the annoyance having to wait for it.
The closest to an answer/explanation I've seen is:
