Hi,
I am trying to install pixum on my destop pc but somehow I am missing a library : libgstinterfaces-0_10-0
I wonder if someone knew, where / from which packages I could get this dependency. I tried to install all gstreamer pacakges but without success.
On other distro, it seems to be packages either in gstreamer-base or alone.
Any Idea ?

How are you installing the pixum? What is pixum, where is it from?
There is a libgstinter.so in gst-plugins-bad - but without knowing more about pixum, it's anyone's guess whether that might be related.

I have no idea whether it provides libgstinterfaces, but gstreamer0.10 is in the AUR.
Mod note: Moving to AUR Issues.

https://www.pixum.fr/ => that's pixum ... something to print your photos.
Yeah well, symlinking worked but if there is no libgst in it ... am ****. I'll have a look at it.

Hi again,
If I'm not mistaken, it is not in that package. How can I find out what package would provide this library ?

You said it's available in other distros, so find out what source they're building it from and look for that.

ok, so the explanation is here to be found : https://github.com/gstreamer-java/gst1- … /issues/54
It seems the code is deprecated so I have emailed the support service but right now, it doesn't solve my problem ...
So, do I have to install 0.10 gstreamer ? or can I symlink to the newest library ? (the latest idea seems very bad to me xD)

for those willing to download approx 138 Mb , the international (english) version can be found here : https://int.pixum.com/photo-book/software
without gstreamer0.10 installed, you get this error :
libgstreamer-0.10.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Since you get another error, you do have some parts of gstreamer0.10 installed.
Try building the gstreamer0.10 bad/good/ugly plugins , and check which one has libgstinterfaces* .

I have gstreamer 1.12 installed ... in which libgstinterfaces doesn't exist anymore.
For the others libraries, I have symlinked them. In that peculiear case, symliking doesn't do the job :-(

Don't symlink libraries, as you already guessed, it is not a good idea. The older version, gstreamer 0.10, is in the AUR as I already pointed out.

'libgstinterfaces-0_10-0' is from 'gstreamer0.10-base-plugins' package.

ok thanks a lot for your help. I have removed all my symlinks, and I have simply install the older version of gstreamer via the AUR & yaourt.
And now it works as it should.
