Gnome Crashes randomly

I'm really puzzled on what has been crashing Gnome lately. Reinstalled my whole Arch setup and I think I've isolated it to my extensions... which I don't even have that many actually.

Just Alternatetab, Arch Linux Updates Indicator, Dash to panel, Dynamic Panel Transparency, and User Themes. All which are commonly used by others so I'm stumped on why it would cause troubles for me.

My Journalctl has this last entry from when it last crashed. Last I remember, I was tweaking some settings on Dynamic Panel Transparency. Thank you

Are you running Xorg or Wayland? Did you check the things suggested on their respective Troubleshooting Wikis: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wa … leshooting or https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xo … leshooting?

Also check dmesg.

Hi, thank you for the reply.

I'm running Wayland, but switched to Xorg for testing. I will check the wiki's now for further testing, thank you for the links.

I did also find this so I'm trying out a a different branch of dash to panel as well. If I have to stop using Gnome extensions, I'll have to totally abandon Gnome..

look into coredumpctl and if there're recent gnome-shell coredumps, look into one.
If it crashes, this is probably *some* extension, not necessarily everyone.

=> Remove all, check the behavior and then re-add them either one by one or bisecting.
