Nautilus file explorer in Gnome Desktop showing duplicate buttons

The nautilus file explorer traditionally has two buttons. One to toggle between list and grid view and other to show the options. However, both these buttons strangely have the same icon. I remember then being different on Ubuntu Gnome. Please refer to attached image to see what I mean (might have to right click and open in new tab to view image).

nautilus

Thanks for the help in advance!

Re: Nautilus file explorer in Gnome Desktop showing duplicate buttons

It's caused by your icon theme, that uses the same icon for both.
They are different with e.g. adwaita from official repos.

That solved the problem. I'm not sure why I didn't think of this before! big_smile
