steamcmd won't start

Hi all,

So I install steamcmd with yaourt like so

 yaourt steamcmd

and choose option 1

 steamcmd

and download the latest update. it goes to 100% and then I type

 steamcmd

again, and it does this

 Redirecting stderr to '/home/marklar/.local/share/Steam/logs/stderr.txt'
ILocalize::AddFile() failed to load file "public/steambootstrapper_english.txt".
[ 0%] Checking for available update...
 [ 0%] Download Complete.

ad infinum.

Please use [ code ] tags for commands, output, and file content (you can click "edit" on your post to add them now).

The output says an error log was created, post the content of that file.
