USB DAC disconnects every 9 seconds

Hello.

I am trying to use Zishan Z1 as USB DAC, but its getting disconnected/connected every ~9 seconds.
At first i thought that my unit is faulty, but it works well on laptop with elementaryOS.

The fact that it works in Elementary, and seeing threads like https://askubuntu.com/questions/505932/ … 507#666507  , https://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index. … 64198.html , and https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=119676 make me guess that the "was not an MTP device" along with "usb disconnect" are the main keywords to search online for. Perhaps libmtp (and maybe correspondingly KDE) is reacting strangely to the device. To debug, I would recommend trying uninstalling libmtp, rebooting, logging in, and seeing if you still have that USB disconnect issue. This isn't to say libmtp is bad, it just may be missing the right config. So either way, that askubuntu.com thread where the person shows how to add a udev rule for MTP devices might be the next thing to try.

Thanks for answer.

Issue is still there even without libmtp. I have also tried disabling baloo, but result is still the same.

Can you try to boot to tty (multi-user.target) without X and try what happens then? In that case neither pulseaudio nor kde should be running, so you can check if they are responsible.

You can also check if booting with arch iso on your elementaryOS machine has the same errors. Maybe your DAC doesn't work well with your arch hardware.

Still the same.

You can also check if booting with arch iso on your elementaryOS machine has the same errors. Maybe your DAC doesn't work well with your arch hardware.

It works there(i've used antergos minimal image)

Booted same image on my arch machine, no disconnects.

Also tried to hook hdd with windows10 and booted there - works well, so i dont think its a hardware issue.
