Printing to a Windows shared printer, complaints about smb.conf

This is a recuring problem that I asked about a year ago. But it is still there.

I've configured the printer but it pauses. In the job list  I see along the first job

Can't load /etc/samba/smb.conf - run testparm to debug it

there is an empty smb.conf in the /etc/samba folder.
