VMMouse clicks not registered in Xorg running in virtualbox

Hi,

I have an arch installation that was running in virtualbox under windows. It was working ok, but I had to move this to a windows box that is already in a VM (running on some form of VMware). Since then the mouse clicks are not working. The mouse is recognised and i can move it around.

If I run "xinput --test-xi2 --root" it registers the mouse move events but not the clicks

dmesg have these messages when I click:

I tried installing the xf85-input-vmmouse driver but that didnt help (I also read that the kernel should be supporting it natively now)

Any ideas of what I could try next?
