I'm getting kernel oops when I remove USB drives on 4.12.3, with it throwing a "[ 74.929666] BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 00000000 00000009" with the exact same call trace.
It matches exactly an error logged on the kernel mailing list there is a patch for included in 4.13rc1, but weirdly not 4.12.2, 3, or 4 since it has been discovered: https://lkml.org/lkml/2017/7/19/21
Should I be especially worried about this, and should I file a bug report on the Linux package to try to get this included?

Compiled 4.12.4 myself and it does indeed work. Thanks. ![]()
