Laptop display not detected

Hi,
After upgrading my kernel to 4.12.3 my laptop display is not detected by xrandr anymore.
Connecting a HDMI cable works just find and I can see the intel driver and kernel module are working just fine.
But xrandr only detects the HDMI output and not the laptop display (it was called eDP-1 idk if that's relevant or not)
My laptop is a zenbook ux305.
I don't know what else to do.
I might downgrade my kernel for now and try my luck with the next version.

Re: Laptop display not detected

I have similar problem but reversed, my laptop display works but my external HDMI monitor doesn't. It happen after kernel update to 4.12.3. I enabled my testing repo nd updated to kernel 4.12.4 but same problem.

Re: Laptop display not detected

I am also facing the reverse problem, external display is not working through HDMI.
I do not see the "VIRTUAL1 disconnected" line in the xrandr output after the upgrade.

Re: Laptop display not detected

Okay, this has turned to a thread hijacking.  The OP is concerned with the LVDS display, not the HDMI outputs.  When the HDMI first came up, I said nothing because the assessment that it might be the other side of the same coin had merit.
It is starting to seem this is not so.  If there are HDMI issues, follow the link above, but do not continue here -- UNLESS -- there is evidence that the phenomena are related.

Thanks.
