Hi, just registered because I couldn't find a solution on the forums.
I have just booted Arch Linux, not even begun the pre-installation setting up, but the terminal screen seems to be flickering. I can't remove xf86-video-intel as suggested here (..since nothing's installed, not even pacman), and I'm not too sure how I would go about changing the kernel boot options. Hoping someone here can help me out here.
Thanks.

I suppose you already saw the note about screen flickering on Intel graphics arch wiki page, that suggests disabling some power save settings via kernel boot options.
I'm not too sure how I would go about changing the kernel boot options.
See https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ke … figuration
I think the Arch ISO uses either systemd-boot or syslinux, depending on whether you're booting on UEFI or BIOS.

Ah, I just got it. Figured out the instructions, must've read them wrong. Thanks.

After rebooting though, even while editing the boot parameters with those suggested here (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/In … flickering), seems to continue flickering.
