I am trying to run LightGBM library (https://github.com/Microsoft/LightGBM/w … tion-Guide) with GPU support enabled (940MX). Compilation goes just fine but when I try to import in python the library I get the following message
OSError: /usr/lib/python3.6/site-packages/lightgbm/lib_lightgbm.so: symbol clCreateCommandQueueWithProperties, version OPENCL_2.0 not defined in file libOpenCL.so.1 with link time reference
As far as I understand 940MX supports only OpenCL version 1.2. Does it mean that I need to downgrade OpenCL? How can I do it?

What videocard and driver are you using ?
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

That would be this card : https://www.geforce.com/hardware/notebo … ifications ?
what is the output of clinfo ? (comes with community package of same name) .

That confirms your system is running OpenCL version 1.2 correctly on your nvidia gpu .
Are there other videocards on your system ?
The installation guide clearly mentions OpenCL 1.2 as requirement, I think you should create an issue on their github site.
