Trouble Overclocking Nvidia GPU

Hey guys,

I hope this is the right place for this. Anyway I'm attempting to overclock my 1060. I've set the cool-bits=28 option as found here. I rebooted and the option for a core and memory offset are available, except I can't apply them. I've hit enter, enter on the numpad and from what I can see there is no apply button appearing. I can however successfully control the fan.

I'd appreciate any help.

Re: Trouble Overclocking Nvidia GPU

The nvidia-settings GUI has no apply button. You can try its CLI if you don't trust the GUI ("nvidia-settings --help") - there's also the more lower level nvidia-smi.

Re: Trouble Overclocking Nvidia GPU

Hi. I've got probably same problem. I type overclock offset and hit enter and nothing change. It's not working. A year ago it was working, but now it doesn't even work from CLI. Not even nvidia-smi will overclock/underclock my GPU. Don't know if it's nvidia or archlinux problem. Can someone try it? Just a little overclock, for example try adding 10MHz if it's working for you. I've tried on 2 GPU, 460GTX and 570GTX. None of them are working.
