This is just in case someone stumbles across the same problem.
I generated some FLAC files, for which Clementine does not show metadata (whereas mediainfo, vlc and other things do).
After suspecting some old bugs associated to the handling of abnormal metadata, I realized that the difference between the "bad" samples (where Clementine cannot extract the metadata) and the good ones (every application I tried could see the title, album, etc) was the absence/presence of seek points table.
After adding the seek points with the standard Xiph tools ("metaflac --add-seekpoint"), the problem was solved. Please note that Clementine is able to play the file, even if the metadata is not shown.
Unfortunately, I do not remember which application I used to convert the WAVs to FLACs (possibly Sound Converter or SoundKonverter). The reference FLAC encoder generates a seek table by default, so it was not that one The same problem could be seen in couple of other players available in AUR.
