App has become slow

I use SecureCRT installed through AUR.  Things were working good, but after installing a bunch of programs and dependencies, things have become extreamly slow.  I tried removing and reinstalling SecureCRT, but still having the same problems.  Is there anything I can do to try and track down what is causing the slowdown?  It mostly happens in the GUI for the app.  Once connected to a client, the client portion runs fine until I try closing the window or anything else in the GUI.

This is where I would look first. The second thing I would try is creating a new user and trying to run SecureCRT there and check if it works as expected.

Or you could just ditch the closed-source SSH client altogether and use the ssh command from your terminal wink

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

Wait... THAT'S what SecureCRT is??

webman, is there a reason you aren't using "ssh" from a terminal window, or FileZilla for file transfers?

Edit: Or use something like Remmina! smile

Yep. It's not cheap either.
You can entirely replicate is functionality by customizing your SSH config and using a terminal/WM that you can tab/window.
