[Solved] Dependency problem with broadcom-wl-ck-ivybridge

Hi all,

don't know how to solve the dependency problem when upgrading:

yaourt -Syua

yields

error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: broadcom-wl-ck-ivybridge: installing linux-ck-ivybridge (4.12.8-1) breaks dependency 'linux-ck-ivybridge<4.12'

I did not try to remove and reinstall the packages, because they are so essentail.

Any hints?

1. Yaourt is not your package manager, pacman is.

2. It is your responsibility, not pacman's, to manage AUR packages.

Moving to AUR Issues.

Those are not AUR packages.
You probably got them from the unofficial ck-repo  , see the troubleshooting section on https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Repo-ck

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

The problem was my fault... pkgver for broadcom did not get bumped when I updated to the 4.12 series.  Fixed now.  Just `pacman -Syyu` and it should work.

CPU-optimized Linux-ck packages @ Repo-ck  • AUR packagesZsh and other configs

AUR, unofficial repos. They are the same thing.

OP: please remember to mark your thread as [Solved] by editing your first post and prepending it to the title.

Re: [Solved] Dependency problem with broadcom-wl-ck-ivybridge

You're hitting the character limit, I suggest changing the title to "[SOLVED] Dependency problem with broadcom-wl-ck-ivybridge" or similar.
