Encrypted ZFS root, do i still need to use AUR packages?

I want to try encrypted zfs as root filesystem.
It looks like since zfs@7.1 and linux@4.12 it should be "native".
Feels risky to use aur dkms modules for boot, i am getting my laptop ready for travel, should i use still luks encryption, or method in arch wiki is stable enough for casual user?

Edit: Article "Installing Arch on ZFS" says i need zfs-encryption-dkms-git. is this still the case?

You will need to use AUR packages no matter what, since zfsonlinux is not integrated into the mainline kernel, no, not even with linux 4.12 wink and therefore zfs itself "is" an AUR package...

But in general, AUR packages shouldn't be any more risky than any other AUR package that replaces part of your boot setup. As long as you are careful to ensure that the versions of everything you use match up (i.e. to the available kernel package) you should be perfectly fine.
