My USB to Ethernet adapter doesn't show up after resuming from suspend

My StarTech USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter doesn't show up as a device after my system (Dell XPS 9550 on kernel 4.12.8-2) resumes from suspend until I switch it to another USB port. My hardware-related logs:
