[SOLVED] Vlc window is always about 90% transparent when using Compton

Thought I would try Compton with Openbox and Tint2. Kept the configuration quite conservative on effects.
Everything looks fine apart from Vlc, whose window is always appearing about 90% transparent. Apart from being almost invisible, it does work otherwise.
After various searches to find problem, I tried these Arch 'shadow-exclude' recommendations (which include Vlc) to no avail.
Anyone else encountered this problem?
(Am using Intel integrated graphics and xrender backend)

Solution found: recreate Vlc configuration
(Though have no idea what the problem actually was)
