[SOLVED] Problem with the TrackPoint middle button on Thinkpad

Hello, everyone

I have Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E530 and use libinput. I have an issue with my hardware middle button that belongs to "TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint" device. Pressing left button, while running "xinput test 'TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint'", gives "button press 1", and "button release 1" after releasing it. The same with the button 3. Pressing middle button gives nothing, releasing it returns both "button press 2" and "button release 2". But it works while using the touchpad's middle button.

Thanks in advance

see here, I got the same problem. A kernel-update solved it.

Unfortunately, the update doesn't help

However, I've found the solution by adding this to xinitrc

xinput set-prop 'TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint' 'libinput Scroll Method Enabled' [0, 0, 0]

solved.
