Gnome notification area question

I have installed "Mail Notification" and Mugshot by compiling them manually. Now, both load AUTOMATICALLY, for ALL users. Even if I kill them or remove them from the notificaiton area they will AGAIN load automatically the next time I log in. How can I prevent this behavior? Where can I find their "auto-startup" launcher script and nuke it?

I am really not sure that this "feature" existed in the past versions of Gnome...

Re: Gnome notification area question

ok, I found their autostart files and deleted them. It was /opt/gnome/etc/xdg/autostart for mail-notification and /usr/share/gnome/autostart/ for mugshot.

Re: Gnome notification area question

There's a package for mail-notification BTW. This package was added after the mail notification applet was removed from gnome-applets.
