Ryzen 1600 hangs and reboots no error message

I'm suffering hangs and reboots

My computer is:

ArchLinux x64 fully updated
Ryzen 1600
asus prime B350 plus
8gb kingston savage @2133mhz
psu ocz sxs 600w
500gb wd sata 2  3.5"
500gb wd sata 2  2.5"
120gb ssd sandisk
radeon 5670 512mb

I read that AMD is replacing these segmentation faults processors, but my issue is not related to that
I also read about MCE bugs, which it doesn't seems to be the case as I don't have these messages on my journal after hangs

My PSU is old, I think I bought in 2010, the cooler make noise and makes the table where is it vibrate, but I read some people here and in amd saying that replacing PSU didn't helped
I only have one stick of ram, so I cannot test other, but the memtest doesn't reports errors

I don't have extra coolers, just CPU fan cooler, but the temp seems to be okay 30ª in idle 50º on full load

The hangs happens on idle usually, when I lock up screen but it can freeze while browsing internet

Post the journal output from when it hangs.

Is your motherboard firmware the latest version?

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

Re: Ryzen 1600 hangs and reboots no error message

This is a "known issue" with Ryzen processors, like mine. sad Many many Linux users have confirmed that they see the same issue, but AMD has not acknowledged the issue. Please see an older thread here:

https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=226668

There is a setting in the BIOS that you can change ("C6 States" to "Disabled") that seems to help, including for me.

I'm actually without a CPU at the moment, since I am in the middle of the RMA process to get a new one due to the segmentation fault issue. tongue I'll be posting here if the "reboot" issue goes away as well with the new CPU.

EDIT: Relevant AMD forums thread: https://community.amd.com/thread/216084
