LXDE lxpanel "Task Bar (Window List)" applet icon size

Hello,

Runing up-to-date Arch linux, lxde DE.

$ pacman -Q lxpanel
lxpanel 0.9.3-1

I want to set lxpanel "Task Bar (Window List)" applet icon size to 32px.
"Panel Settings->Geometry->Icon size" setting does exactly that but works somehow buggy - if I set it to 32px all existing button icons are drawn 32px pixels as I want:

but as long as I launch new windows, button icons render smaller than 32px, some scale better some worse depending on application icon I guess (2 new windows launched after setting "Icon size" 32px):

I attempted to set larger value like 34px hoping it will render 32px but no success.
Another applet "Application Launch Bar" renders 32px icons as instructed by "Icon size" setting.

How do I force "Task Bar (Window List)" applet icon size to 32px ?

This isn't a solution to your problem, but have you tried out the GTK3 version of the panel, lxpanel-gtk3? It might behave differently and "solve" your problem.
