Re: monstewm pkgbuild file

If those binaries work for you, then you're not using Arch. It's possible you are using Arch Linux ARM though, which supports the armv7 architecture, but is a separate distribution. If you have further support needs, please ask on their forums.

Closing, for deletion.

I didn't see your third post saying the binaries didn't work. Tentatively moving to PKGBUILD requests in case you are using Arch, but trying to install ARM packages for some reason. Please could you clarify what the situation is?

Re: monstewm pkgbuild file

i just like monsterwm but when i searched for it in the arch resp. it was'nt there....I mean how can someone delete such a beautiful peace of code...well my problem is that i cant make the monsterwm run using the methods given on their(monsterwm's) github page...and i think the PKGBUILDS for it out there are out-dated now...so what i want is a pkgbuild file which can install it on my arch linux.(in hope of getting a good answer smile )

Re: monstewm pkgbuild file

There is an ancient PKGBUILD for it on it's thread here on the forums.  But what problem are you having building the source from github?  Please post the error(s).  I suspect it should still build, but note that it doesn't look like it has been touched in 5 to 6 years.  You may want to consider alternatives.

Herbsluftwm inherited a lot of the former monsterwm users and I think it is quite similar.  And that one has only been abandonned for a couple years! tongue

EDIT: I just confirmed the source from c00kiemonster's github page still builds just fine.

Re: monstewm pkgbuild file

Have you looked at FrankenWM?

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan
