Hello,
I updated my packages on October 1, 2017, and since then I experience really weird bugs with my audio/video.
For example, I have sound on one tab of Firefox, but not on another one. And I don't have sound on Skype, Spotify, ... Also when I use my "volume up" keyboard shortcut, it doesn't output the "volume up" sound but it does increase it (I'm using Gnome 3).
I can watch videos on VLC, but not on YouTube anymore, which says "If playback doesn't begin shortly, try restarting your device".

EDIT : I figured out that this occurs when I'm watching a stream on Adobe Connect (uses flash). Leaving it fixes it, but I still don't know why, as everything was going well before the last updates.
Any idea ?

Hi,
I had a similar problem.
I use a laptop, and, I don't know why, but the output sound of some of my applications were set to HDMI output whereas I had no HDMI cable plugged...There were no sound on these applications on my laptop...
So I plugged my TV via HDMI cable on my laptop, set the output sound on "HDMI/display port" output and all applications worked fine on the TV.
I set the output sound on "stereo speakers" and all worked fine on my laptop...
Weird but now it works.
