WD Red optimization?

Hello again,

I am about to finish my homeserver/NAS switch from Windows to Arch. While doing so I also upgraded my storage to a 4TB WD Red HDD.
Arch Linux itself is intalled + running on a 120GB SSD. So the 4TB WD Red HDD is just for data !
From what I know the WD Reds come with certrain settings in Windows to expand lifetime (as the WD Reds are made for NAS & 24/7 usage).
I will be running ~3TB torrents (~600-700 .torrents) as well as certain ftp + backup solutions on the WD Red. So I believe it will be in constant use?

If so, are there any settings (e.g. power management, head parking,....) that I should turn on/off for my WD Red?

Also:
Is it safe to set these with a WD Red?

Enable SATA link power management for host4 	echo 'min_power' > '/sys/class/scsi_host/host4/link_power_management_policy';
Enable SATA link power management for host5 	echo 'min_power' > '/sys/class/scsi_host/host5/link_power_management_policy';
Enable SATA link power management for host3 	echo 'min_power' > '/sys/class/scsi_host/host3/link_power_management_policy';
Enable SATA link power management for host1 	echo 'min_power' > '/sys/class/scsi_host/host1/link_power_management_policy';
Enable SATA link power management for host2 	echo 'min_power' > '/sys/class/scsi_host/host2/link_power_management_policy';
Enable SATA link power management for host0 	echo 'min_power' > '/sys/class/scsi_host/host0/link_power_management_policy';

Thanks in advance !

Re: WD Red optimization?

I turned off the automatic head parking of the WD Red. This involved using a "wdidle3.exe" DOS program by WD with a FreeDOS boot disc. I think this wasn't really needed as the head parking was already set to several minutes as the default. I don't know if it might not be better to keep it enabled.
