[SOLVED] Gnome-Shell 3.26 dumps core on an unfound schema key

Hey all,

I updated my laptop to GNOME 3.26 but now gdm won't start. I traced the problem back to gnome-shell itself crashing with the following message:

Settings schema 'org.gnome.mutter' does not contain a key named 'experimental-features'

I checked /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.gnome.mutter.gschema.xml and found the key there, so I thought recompiling the schemas might fix my issue but unfortunately that does not work; I keep getting this error. I re-downloaded and re-installed both mutter and gnome-shell but to no avail. From searching the forums, the bug tracker and the internet it seems I am the only one running into this problem and I am out of ideas.

Any pointers are appreciated!

Nevermind, I had a stray gschema left in /usr/share/local/glib-2.0/schemas...
