Im considering switching back to linux (I was an arch user in the past) on my personal laptop. In the past I was forced to switch to OSX, because my job required a UNIX compatible system that could also run MS Word to track changes on pre-publication manuscripts (basically a big block of LaTeX in a Word doc), which were getting mangled in LibreOffice. Currently Im looking at PCs that can support up to two 4k monitors at 60fps via thunderbolt, and Im wondering about the status of driver support for the peripherals that are necessary with this kind of setup.
