Use mouse as joystick

I remember playing GRID (2008) in Windows with mouse using PPJoy, it was "interesting".
Wanted to try "new" Grid Autosport and DiRT Rally with mouse in linux, but can't find any way to do it.
I saw sometimes users have problem when mouse detected as joystick, it's not clear though if it was functional.
Anyone have any idea how to do it in arch?

Xboxdrv can map any event device to a gamepad.
QJoyPad can do that too.
