[AUR, ArchLinuxCN, SOLVED] Gimp 2.9 starting very slow

I am using Gimp 2.9 from the ArchLinuxCN repository. Before I used gimp-git from AUR and had the same problem.

The problem is that Gimp is starting very slowly (>1min). The reason is that after starting Gimp it just shows a grey rectangle where usually the gimp startup image is shown. Only after a long waiting time the actual startup image is shown and the progress bar fills.

Did anybody have the same problem and knows how to fix it? It is very annoying to wait that long every time I want to start Gimp.

Thanks a lot.

Edit:
Just after posting I found (trail and error) that it seems to be caused by my .abr brushes that I placed into the brushes folder. Each of the files (I've got some) takes about 5s to load. Seems that in Gimp 2.9 the loading of .abr brushes got much slower.
