Hello,
I've noticed that Evolution started to insert localized "Re:" string to subject from some update (probably 3.24 and newer).
Every other client uses Re: in subject as sign of reply. But Evolution inserts here a localized version of Re:. So in my case it inserts "Odp.: [REAL SUBJECT]"
Which:
- is confusing for someone (especialy if when e-mail is english written)
- Is causing that subject length is constantly growing - just because other clients are not used to localized Re: string and they are expecting just real "Re: SUBJECT".
Little example:
If I reply to someone with "Odp.: SUBJECT", another e-mail client is replying with: "Re: Odp.: SUBJECT".
Another reply from mine Evolution has subject "Odp.: Odp.: SUBJECT", because Evolution can handle Re: and changes it to localized version.
And guess what will other peoples client do. They see there is no "Re:" in subject, so they add one. So Subject is now "Re: Odp.: Odp.: SUBJECT".
And same circle repeats many times. So after few messages subject looks pretty funny.
This is really anoying.
Any idea how to turt off this stupid feature? Since Evolution is only client which can handle Exchange correctly changing client is not the option ![]()
