After some updates about two weeks ago I'm unable to start Plasma. It stops at loading with black screen, after a while mouse cursor appears and I'm unable to do anything with that.
nvidia 387.12-2 (also have integrated in Intel i7-4790K)
plasma-desktop 5.11.1-1
System is up to date
I have no idea how to resolve this issue ...

How are you trying to launch Plasma?
There have been countless threads recently about problems with SDDM, is this the same problem that you're having?

I doubt SDDM is the issue, then. I had the mentioned problem and SDDM itself wouldn't show (visually) at all.
Though I don't know what it could be. Sorry, not a lot of help, I know.

Does a new user account have the same problem? What do the logs or does the journal say?

You mean me? No, I had the SDDM problem, which is what brought me to the forums. I was mentioning that this doesn't sound like it's the SDDM problem because in that case SDDM doesn't start properly itself, so getting into Xfce would be the same as getting into Plasma -- impossible, without using tty and/or changing DMs. Well, that was a silly misundersanding.

No, of course not you :-).
I mean: does the OP have the same problem logging into a Plasma session with a new user account? SDDM is clearly not the problem - at least, certainly not the problem Jason referred to - for just the reasons you say. So, what is the problem? One possibility: user configuration issue. How to diagnose: make a new user account and see if it has the same problem. If so, it is something in the home directory. If not, not. All things KDE are fond of going wonky when old config files get stale. Setting those aside is a standard way of ruling the problem out or in.

in journal there was some qml binding loop issues (I'm not able to provide them at the moment).
I somehow fixed it by "cd ~/.config && rm -fr k*"
For another test user I've created sometime ago there was no issue. So there was a config issue and I'm curious which one, If I have some time I'll investigate it, if it able to recover into broken state.
