I have a huawei honor 5x and am unable to connect to my phoen via mtpfs jmtpfs gmtp etc...
Here is the output of jmtpfs when I try it:
jmtpfs mnt/
Device 0 (VID=12d1 and PID=1082) is a Huawei Ascend P8.

Interestingly enough, I switched to using a USB 3.0 port instead of a 2.0 one and this seemed to solve the problem. I'm not sure why.
I'm going to mark this as solved I guess.

The same error also appears if the mobile device is in screen locked state.
