[SOLVED] Issue with GDM starting i3

I have been using GDM with a dual-installation of i3 and gnome with no issues. However, as of recent whenever I select to load i3 from GDM instead it boots into GNOME. I have looked around at various Xorg files, reinstalled i3 and gdm, looked at systemd related services with no luck.

journalctl -b -u gdm.service

Oct 30 21:50:49 bmgxc9-arch gdm-password][663]: pam_unix(gdm-password:session): session opened for user bmgxc9 by (uid=0)

without the b flag

Re: [SOLVED] Issue with GDM starting i3

I have since reset GDM configuration, that did not work either.

What version of GDM is installed on your system? Might be related to https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/56172 , but hard to say from the log posted.

3.26.2, thank you for this bug report. I tried looking for something similar but could not find it. What I did was downgrade the package to 3.26.1 and that solved the issue. I will wait for a patch before upgrading again. Thank you. Marking as solved.
