HP ProBook 640G1 busy at starting

Hi guys,

I'm running out of ideas. I'm having a ProBook from HP and sometimes it boots and sometimes not. If it is not booting it stucks at Reached target Graphical Interface. My first idea was that there is a bug in the b43-firmware, because in teh dmesg was written:

bluetooth hci0: Direct firmware load for brcm/BCM20702A1-0a5c-21f1.hcd failed with error -2

I fixed it, but the laptop is still busy sometimes with itself at the booting process.
Has anybody an idea? Here is the dmesg:

Re: HP ProBook 640G1 busy at starting

It sounds like it is booting just fine.  The Graphical Interface level is many steps past having booted.
When this happens, can you change to a different console using Ctrl-Alt-F2  (or F3 through F6) ?
What type of graphics does this system have? Is it Hybrid?
Are you using a Display Manager? (Like SDDM?)
What are you using as a Desktop Environment / Window Manager?

Yes. I did the dmesg when it stucked and changed to the terminal with Ctrl-Alt-F2. As already said it stuckes at the first screen(Ctrl-Alt-F1) with

[OK] Reached target Graphical Interface.

No Hybrid, Intel Core i5-4200M with  Intel HD Graphics 4600
Desktop Manager: KDM
Window Manager: Awesome WM

Sorry, it's SDDM of course.

I also did some tests today:

- installed lightdm. It haves the same problem.
- tried to deinstall lib32-mesa, but I'm having unresolvable dependencies. Could it be a problem to have lib32-mesa and mesa installed together?

Re: HP ProBook 640G1 busy at starting

Ok, so I downgraded to Kernel 4.9.59 and it's working. Is there a posibility to boot it with the current kernel 4.13? I tried a lot of bootflags to set in grub, but it didn't help.
