Fellas,

I am very angry with firefox on Arch. I use it fine for while, but without warning, when i start to open the websites using tabs, it opens a "ghost window" and if i close this window, he crashes the firefox and close the all firefox windows. Somebody knows solve this terrible firefox bug?

Here is whats the shell show me:

Re: firefox crash (on archlinux)

Have you installed gtk-engines ?

The program isn't debugged until the last user is dead.

Re: firefox crash (on archlinux)

Are you using the extension called Firefox Forecast? I had a lot of similar problems, mainly on Arch, when I used that. After uninstalling it, they all disappeared. At first I thought it was the Forecast Enhanced extention, but it seemed to happen even with the regular Forecast extension.

eduac: Try using the default theme and disabling your extensions to see if it'll fix the problem.

BTW, are you using the gtk from testing?

Re: firefox crash (on archlinux)

the problem is not with configuration, because i have installed arch on many desktops and the problem continues at the same way.

Re: firefox crash (on archlinux)

Try getting the official build from getfirefox.com - I know on some distros I've had issues, and the official one will usually solve any issues.  Granted, if you keep using it, you'll have to manually update it yourself.  At the very least, it may help in finding out what's wrong.

Re: firefox crash (on archlinux)

i have had these problems a couple of times too... i don't remember if i was on 1.5.0.3 or 1.5.0.4, but what i did to make the ghost window go away was to close the tab that became the ghost window in the first place. Also, i should note that i had a LOT of tabs open (like 3-4 rows on a 1280x800 res) and i think that's the cause
