[bug?] tail spaces for window descriptions on Gnome 3.26.2

I upgraded the whole system using yaourt -Syu and after that the thumbnail view of windows on current desktop starts to be weird. There're several extra spaces at the tail of every window description and it looks ugly. (screenshot attached below)

I first thought it's the problem with my theme but after switching to default theme, the problem is still there.

So I think it might be the problem with the new gnome. Anyone knows how to fix this? Thanks!

Try disabling all your shell extensions.

Could be also caused by something in the unofficial repositories you're using.
I haven't seen anyone report such issue during the months gnome 3.26 has been on official repos..

Thanks @ooo

I tried disabling all shell extensions, nothing changed, then I re-enabled all of them and reboot, magic happens. There're fewer spaces for each window description this time and some window description becomes normal. But I tried disabling extensions and reboot again, can not further fix this problem. Any new insight?

I solved this problem by disabling wayland  (uncomment WaylandEnable=false in /etc/gdm/custom.conf)

though I don't know why.

Presumably, you reverted to using Xorg. Doesn't really solve the problem, but may be a very acceptable workaround.
