Just got this idea from the LnF awards, but would it make sense for there to be Opera statically linked to Qt in the aur (or any repo ) for LnF systems? When opera is the only Qt app (as in, say, any system without kde), this could be very useful.

Not really, because:
1) Qt isn't *that* big
2) Statically linking it may cause other problems
3) Arch's Qt will probably be newer, or updated faster than Opera's Qt, and compiled against the rest of the Arch system, so it's more likely to work properly (and maybe be faster too)
Qt is on my system only because of Opera as well.
