Using the PCI-E x16 GPU instead of Integrated + resolution issue

I have an old HP DC5750 Small Form Factor that i got for 20 bucks. I've recently made a GPU-CPU-RAM upgrade to it.

Current specs are:

Kernel/Shell: x86_64 Linux 4.13.11-1-ARCH/bash 4.4.12
DE: XFCE4

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5200+ @ 2x 2.7GHz (AM2)
GPU (Integrated): (this one comes integrated to the board) ATI Radeon Xpress 1150
GPU (PCI-E x16): VisionTek HD6350 @1GB 64Bit
RAM: 4x1GB 667MHz (on Dual-channel)
Mobo: HP 0A64H (AM2)

1ST ISSUE
The thing is i want to use only the HD6350 and not the integrated one but it seems like i get the performance of the integrated. Is there a way to completely disable the integrated one and only use the PCI? I tried looking up and two solutions came up:

1) NVidia + Intel laptops ---> bumblebee
|_ not a laptop

2) acpi_call
|_ both insmod and modprobe methods aren't working

2ND ISSUE
I dualboot WIN7 and Arch. I can get the 1360x768 resolution on Windows but can't get it on Arch. XFCE's display settings shows that max is 1024x768. I added the resolution by the ''cvt 1360 768'' and added the mode on xrandr, selected the output and it did turn into 1360x768 but it's stretched into 1024x768.

any recommendations?

Re: Using the PCI-E x16 GPU instead of Integrated + resolution issue

Please make a seprate thread for your 2nd issue.

1st issue :

Look in the bios / uefi, there may be an option to select the primary videocard .

please post lspci -k, xrandr , xrandr --listproviders .

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

Re: Using the PCI-E x16 GPU instead of Integrated + resolution issue

Looks like you are using the discrete card now.
You do have xf86-video-ati installed ?

post xorg log .
