I have installed matlab R2017B (trial version) and when I try to open it using

matlab

command it gives me this error

MATLAB is selecting SOFTWARE OPENGL rendering.
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::runtime_error'
  what(): Unable to launch the MATLABWindow application
Fatal Internal Error: std::exception: map::at

I have also tried

matlab -nodesktop -nodisplay

and gave me the same error
I also have moved the libglib libraries under the exclude dir
I also checked for the FileIO.xml and it exites

Re: Matlab doesn't launch

Did you google the problem and try the Workaround?

Otherwise Matlab 2017a works fine for me after following the wiki for a couple of fixes, another option that I have used in desperate times was to ssh to my Uni and use matlab that way.
