So I want to add a splash screen to my boot and I am having problems getting it to actually show. I know the problem most likely stems from that fact that I am using nvidia proprietary drivers, but I followed the instructions to get that to work.
This is the error I am receiving at boot:
Nov 18 04:25:09 Jupiter kernel: uvesafb:
Nov 18 04:25:09 Jupiter kernel: NVIDIA Corporation,
Nov 18 04:25:09 Jupiter kernel: GM204 Board,
Nov 18 04:25:09 Jupiter kernel: Chip Rev ,
Nov 18 04:25:09 Jupiter kernel: OEM: NVIDIA,
Nov 18 04:25:09 Jupiter kernel: VBE v3.0
Nov 18 04:25:09 Jupiter kernel: uvesafb: VBIOS/hardware doesn't support DDC transfers
Nov 18 04:25:09 Jupiter kernel: uvesafb: no monitor limits have been set, default refresh rate will be used
Nov 18 04:25:09 Jupiter kernel: uvesafb: scrolling: redraw

My /etc/default/grub: https://pastebin.com/8KV4NA84
(The "video=vesa:off vga=normal" was added after I saw the error I was receiving at boot)
My /etc/mkinitcpio.conf: https://pastebin.com/1y4PqeRn
The instructions I followed came from the wiki.
