hello, my screen resolution is big. the fonts, icons, etc.. are too small. I wanted to use another resolution? to solve this issue.
first: I want to know if that is the best solution to make fonts in shell or GUI elements look normal.
second: I was not able to use newmode in xrandr!
I tried to follow the instructions on the wiki page, but I was not able to addmode
The output of
xrandr
after running
xrandr --newmode "1200x800_60.00" 78.00 1200 1264 1384 1568 800 803 813 831 -hsync +vsync

Welcome to the forums ahmed_elsawy
Lowering your resolution from the native panel specs isn't a good idea.
Please search the wiki before posting...

You can also try setting the dpi with xrandr, e.g.
xrandr --dpi 110
