Laptop battery discharging when AC plugged (Lenovo Thinkpad E450)

Hello, I would appreciate any help, this is the only issue I have encountered so far.
I am using xfce4 power manager.

note: it says discharging, but the battery level remains the same. I will try to provide any additional info if required.
