[SOLVED] F keys not working on Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard

I'm using i3wm and arch linux with X server.

I'm unable to use my F keys, that is they aren't responding at all. What are some further steps in debugging the issue?

Thank you!

xev/showkey/behavior w/o X11
Is this one of those stupid keyboards where the F keys are behind some Fn switch?

Couldn't get a file descriptor referring to the console

EDIT: This behaviour is most observed in pycharm

Re: [SOLVED] F keys not working on Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard

Flip the switch (depending on the model; there are something like 20 keyboards that have had "ergonomic" in their name)

Re: [SOLVED] F keys not working on Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard

Tried the one that says "F Lock" right to F12?
