Since switching to Arch I've been running into issues with Quake Live periodically freezing in Wine. It happens seemingly randomly, but usually within the first 5-15 mins of playing. I've been playing for years on Fedora and Ubuntu without any problems. So far I've tried tweaking the game settings and cycling through different versions of wine, without any luck. So I suspect its a problem with some other package, though I'm not quite sure how to debug this
Running `journalctl -b` doesn't really give any logs at or around the time of the crash, and wine output isn't showing anything particularly useful either. Any ideas in how I can track down what's going on?

But w/o further elaboration on the meaning of "freeze" and your hardware it's hard to even say where to look.

I can't believe I didn't search the forums first XD I really didn't think anybody else would have been talking about Quake Live here
Unfortunately that didn't help in my case. The freezing issue I'm running into is: video stops completely, and the last ~0.5 seconds worth of audio plays back on repeat. I also notice that I can't interact with the window at all at this point (trying to move the window to another virtual desktop doesn't work). After about a minute of this the process will eventually just close. No relevant errors logged or given in the output. I'm not quite sure how to even begin debugging something like that

Tried to suspend the compositor (Shift+Alt+F12)?
Offline
Negative -- tried suspending the compositor just now and still hit the same freeze(?)

Probably unrelated to the other topic then.

Did you try with wine-stage or wine-stage-nine?
