Want to try 16x DVDr/w in k3b...
Does it recognize the double-sided media and write to
it?
Before I buy anything!
Prediction...This year will be a very odd year!

if you mean dual-layer media, it certainly will. if you really mean double-side media, well, i have no idea (actually i didn't even know it existed...)
also, k3b is a frontend for cdrecord and dvd+rw-tools. so check the latter for double-side media support.

fyi, from k3b.org website :
dvd+rw-tools - The DVD+RW-Tools are used to burn and format DVD+R(W) and DVD-R(W) media. For DVD+R Double Layer burning version >= 5.20.4.10.8 is required.
from extra repo, dvd+rw-tools is > 6.0. so you get it.
