Trackpad Skipping on Lenovo Flex 4

I have a Lenovo Flex 4 laptop (the variant with AMD graphics), and precise cursor control with my touchpad is nearly impossible. Moving slightly will result in the cursor skipping a few pixels on the screen, as if it were snapping to a grid instead of moving slowly. I am running Gnome shell on Wayland. Any advice for fixing this problem?
