I still have problem with akregator

The 64bit repo is still broken
We have to wait for Dunkelstern until his hardware gets fixed...
Tell me about it! I had to temporarily switch to Ubuntu Feisty Fawn. It isn't actually that bad, but I'm having a hell of a time getting the MPlayer browser plug-in working. There's no Opera package of it, as there is in Arch. Anyway, is Dunkenstern going to post an update when he gets everything fixed? I can wait an indefinite amount of time... I just don't feel like reinstalling for the sake of checking.

I have a nasty problem when adding a control bar from kicker. I wanted to add a control bar at the top of the screen for knewsticker. That works but I can't adjust the size of that bar anymore. Any adjusting only affects the kicker size. I know that it was working with my last install (performed a fresh one a couple of days ago). Can someone confirm that?

OK, now I know something new about PacMan. So I've synced the kdemod repos, but before I go ahead, I would like to know which apps, in particular should be removed...This would've been much easier over my kdebase! Here are the apps that come up in a local search of "kde" and "qt":
[myusername@ArchPad ~]$ pacman -Q | grep kde
kde-common 3.5.6-1
kdeaccessibility 3.5.6-1
kdeaddons 3.5.6-3
kdeadmin 3.5.6-2
kdeartwork 3.5.6-2
kdebase 3.5.6-5
kdebindings 3.5.6-2
kdegames 3.5.6-1
kdegraphics 3.5.6-2
kdelibs 3.5.6-8
kdemultimedia 3.5.6-2
kdenetwork 3.5.6-1
kdepim 3.5.6-5
kdesdk 3.5.6-1
kdetoys 3.5.6-1
kdeutils 3.5.6-2
kdewebdev 3.5.6-1
[myusername@ArchPad ~]$ pacman -Q | grep qt
dbus-qt3 0.62-1
gtk-qt-engine 0.7-2
poppler-qt 0.5.4-1
qt 3.3.8-3So, which do I remove? I know for sure that kdebase and qt need to go.

kill'em all ;-)
except for poppler, gtk-qt engine and dbus-qt3 I think you need to remove 'em all, and then install the kdemod versions.

Try to restart kicker with "dcop kicker Panel restart" after adding the new panel... I have this problem too sometimes. When i add a new panel, the prefs dont "see" the newly created one until i restart kicker...

I'm completely new to Archlinux (kdemod attracted me to it), but I'm having trouble installing kdemod. I appologize, because I know I must be making a very simple mistake, and I doubt that it is specifically related to kdemod at all, but rather to my general incompetence with such an advanced distrobution (I'm an Ubuntu user...). Here's my /etc/pacman.conf:
#
# /etc/pacman.conf
#
# NOTE: If you find a mirror that is geographically close to you, please
# move it to the top of the server list, so pacman will choose it
# first.
#
# To re-sort your mirror lists by ping/traceroute results, use the
# /usr/bin/sortmirrors script. It requires the "netselect" package.

3.5.7 for i686 is in /testing ... If you want to try it out, just change your pacman.conf entry to:
[kdemod]
Server = http://kdemod.ath.cx/repo/testing/i686I have no problems recognized so far, so just try it out. The update from 3.5.6 has been tested and works flawless except that kded will die during the update, so just do a restart of KDE after updating... This is the latest tagged version from svn and will be updated when there are additional changes...
changes:
- removed xinerama patches for now (do not apply on 3.5.7)
- removed taskbar-color patch (included with 3.5.7)
- removed konsole transparency patch (included with 3.5.7, you can activate it with --real-transparency)
- added some new kdemod artwork for kdm & ksplash (not activated by default)
Please check it out and report any glitches... If there are no problems, it will be moved to /current next week...
btw, Dunkelstern is back in business, so x86_64 will also be updated soon...

Can you please tell me where I find this settings? Seems I'm too stupid to find it. ![]()
Second question. Is it possible to change the color of the domino Window Decoration like the guy in this image has done? http://kde-look.org/CONTENT/content-pre1/48100-1.png

duh it's possible, check the settings of the domino window decoration and the color settings in Kcontrol. I think the latter has the right settings for what you're looking for. One of the settings for the outer border of a window might be what you need to change to get the green color.

I haven't seen anything else than 2 or 3 KDE-specific screensavers in the control center for a long time... no idea if it's kdemod's fault.
