Screen repaint freeze sometimes when starting steam (nvidia)

Starting steam sometimes causes screen repaint freeze on my desktop with nvidia drivers. Mouse/keyboard working fine. I see mouse cursor changing on different elements of windows. Key combination to disable/enable compositing (Alt+Shift+F12) not helping. Alt+F2 then back to Alt+F1 causes screen to be black with mouse pointer. Killing plasmashell not helping. Killing kwin_x11 does HELPING. Anyone have such problem?
Currently using keybinding bash -c "killall kwin_x11; kwin_x11"
